Flint Gennari is the unofficial official photographer of ART BY THE FERRY, it is in his nature to record life, friends and all he comes across on his way about his business (which is who knows what!) Without a doubt the ARTS keep people alive (and young!) and with respect to the act of creating and the joy of giving birth to a WORK OF ART photography and blogging is another way of sharing that love.  Here are some sights and sounds of this years annual ART BY THE FERRY festival held once again in Staten island's St. George area
 across from the world famous Staten Island Ferry.

 

Staten Island Creative Community [SICC] is a not for profit, totally volunteer coalition of visual artists;  photographers; musicians; performers; writers and film makers residing in Staten Island, N.Y.

SICC was started in 2008 by Joyce Malerba Goldstein and supported by the Council on the Arts and Humanities [COAHSI] as well as many local artists and business leaders.

In collaboration with the business community, we take unleased spaces and turn them into temporary galleries, and performance spaces.

Our hope is to create an Arts District to attract and support the growing creative population and help stimulate the economic growth of Staten Island.
